▷ The Chateau Diaries 104: A Valentine’s Surprise!

This was an exciting week at the chateau. Ian the Volunteer came back, laden with goodies from Spain, and we had a dinner party to celebrate his return. Michael and I indulged in historic chateau pastimes, and attempted to sightreadan aria from Marie Antoinette’s favourite opera. There were Valentine’s Bunnies, some new jewellery, and a very unexpected surprise on Valentine’s Day!

To experience chateau life, come and stay with us at the Chateau de Lalande! We offer accommodation in beautiful bedrooms in the original 16th century wing of the chateau. You can even stay in the bedroom of the Marquise! And in the evenings you can choose to dine privately, or to join us in our chateau family meals.

For rates and availability, see our website: http://www.chateaudelalande.com

A very special thank you to all of you who have become Patrons of the Chateau de Lalande. I only launched our Patreon page 10 days ago and we already have over 100 patrons! I’ve been overwhelmed by your response, and am planning lots of renovations to the chateau that I’ve been longing to do for years! It’s such an exciting time for all of us here, as work is about to begin on the chapel and the dream of getting our lake back looks as though it could become a reality because of your help. On behalf of this beautiful chateau that will flourish because of you, thank you!!!
