The kitchen is a hive of activity, as Mummy bakes apple pie and Marie makes a delicious sausage wrapped in brioche. Meanwhile I make a start at reupholstering an antique bed, Selmar shows me the beautiful spade handles he made with our old Christmas tree, and the sheep outwit us once again. Then, in the evening we all enjoy the most idyllic aperitif imaginable on the terrace of the chateau…
